Turning Back Time

Monstro City, 2010 - A Look Back
2010 is nearly over, and what an incredible year we've had! This time last year we had only (ONLY!?!) ten million monsters adopted. NOW there are over THIRTY MILLION monsters who have happy homes with all of YOU. This year alone, over 200 million Pinboard comments have been made, 415 million items have been bought at Monstro City shops, 50 million items have been sold over at Dodgy Deals, 272 million puzzles have been played over at Puzzle Palace, and 127 million friendships have been requested. Whoah!
I thought it'd be fun to turn back time (like the Backwards Puzzle Clock, get it?) and go over what we accomplished in 2010. Deep breath, ready for it?
In 2010 we had our 15 Million Monster Party in London, we mastered theHey Moshi Dance, we made friends with new Moshlings, we had some high profile political visitors, we designed a Moshi sneaker, we introduced the new Moshi profile, we wrote a bunch of jokes for the Moshi Monsters Joke Book, we got to know Buster Bumblechops, we showed the world Monstro City's Got Talent, we made edible Moshi Monsters, we launched Project Genero City, we opened the doors at The Googenheim, we made Moshi Monsters out of rubbish, we released Moshi Top Trumps, Buster Bumblechops wrote The Moshling Collector's Guide and had a book signing party, the Super Moshis came and gave us all a an exclusive mission, AND Moshigames.com was launched. Whew!
We've done SO much this year. We have a LOT of stuff up our sleeves for you next year in 2011. Who knows what new features we'll come out with next!?! What do YOU think is in store for Monstro City in 2011? Comment on THIS blog with your guesses!

Auld Lang Syne

Around the world tonight people will be celebrating the New Year. Did you know that New Years is one of the oldest holidays? Feasting on lucky foods is an ancient tradition. My family always eats Mutant Sprouts on New Years and we sing, "Old Plain Slime." Here's a photo of Furi Baby New Year.
In Spain, Portugal, Italy, and South America 12 grapes are eaten for prosperity. In China, Jaiozi (dumplings) are eaten because they symbolize wealth. Fish, pork, cabbage, black-eyed peas, and fruitcake are also eaten all over the world.
For Chinese New Year, a multi-course meal is served. In Scotland,Hogmanay is celebrated. In Venezuela it's good luck to wear yellow underwear (Pants of Power anyone?).
What country are you from and what kinds of traditions do you and your family celebrate? Oh yeah, and what are your New Years Resolutions? I've GOT to stop juggling my eyes. I get bored ya know... and then I drop 'em... and there's nothing worse than fuzz in your eyes!
Keep your eyes at hand... and off the floor!

Ding! MiniBen's Bio!

Well howdy folks! It's your ol' buddy Buster Bumblechops here to give you the inside scoop on MiniBen, the Teeny TickTock!
Bio:
Don’t be alarmed! Teeny TickTocks are noisy Moshlings that love chiming on the hour. When they’re not swaying to and fro, making their bells go bong, these terribly old-fashioned chaps enjoy waxing their bushy moustaches, nibbling cucumber sandwiches and asking everyone the time. Have you ever tried looking at a clock that’s on top of your head? It’s harder than you think!
Habitat:
Teeny TickTocks can often be spotted on the foggy banks near Westmonster Abbey.
Likes:
Fish and chips with hot sweet tea.
Dislikes:
Earmuffs and cuckoos.
Do you have MiniBen yet? Comment on THIS blog and share your MiniBen collecting tips!

Don't forget, you can pick up a copy of "The Moshling Collector's Guide" over at AMAZON, and if you live in the UK, you'll be able to find it at Tesco, Waterstone's, ASDA, and WH Smith.

Buster's Back - Spotlight On Rocky!

Greetings fellow Moshling collectors! It's me, Buster Bumblechops here to tell you all you ever wanted to know about Rocky, the Baby Blockhead.

Bio:
Stoney-faced but helpful, these heavyweight Moshlings are very strong – hardly surprising as they’re made from solid rock! They’ve even been known to sweat liquid concrete when lifting heavy objects. The trouble is they don’t know their own strength and often get into trouble breaking things – especially fingers when they’re shaking hands. Crr-unch!
Habitat:
These incredible bulks live on Beaster Island where they often sit for hours, staring out to sea.
Likes:
Rock music and fluffy rabbits.
Dislikes:
Weeds and jackhammers.
Moshling collecting can be tricky! Do YOU have Rocky yet? What are your best Rocky-hunting strategies? Comment on THIS blog and tell me, and a few of you will win a Random Rox prize.

Project Genero City - Circus Starr!

Project Genero City has been busy with Mary's Meals, and now we've been able to help out another organization. Circus Starr puts on a circus each year and sells tickets to local businesses which are then donated to underprivileged children and children with disabilities. Moshi Monsters was able to purchase ten tickets, and Circus Starr matched that so that 20 kids will be able to have a memorable day at the circus.

Over the years, Circus Starr has enabled over a million kids the chance to experience the magic of circus. We're so glad we got to help out with this amazing organization. Now that I'm feeling all circus-y, I'm going to decorate my room in the circus theme from Babs' Boutique. What's YOUR favorite part of a circus? Comment on THIS blog and tell me!
